NY Rise

NY Rise is a young person’s drug and alcohol recovery service. Their friendly team deliver targeted prevention, early intervention and specialist substance use support to young people. They prevent escalation of drug and alcohol-related risk and harm for young people, and help them to avoid becoming dependent as adults.

We’re here to help

NY Rise is free, friendly and confidential.  

We can help with:  

  • Support to stop or reduce drug or alcohol use
  • Support to improve health and wellbeing (including sexual health support and smoking cessation)
  • Education and advice about drugs and alcohol  
  • Support for family members of young people working with NY Rise, with onward referrals when needed 
  • Support for people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and people worried about someone with SEND who needs support with drugs and/or alcohol use.

We can also provide guidance to schools, colleges and other professionals regarding referral processes and eligibility  

We are an outreach-based service, we see young people in their communities at a place which is comfortable for them  

Who is this service for

  • We support young people aged 10 to 18 with drug or alcohol issues and people aged 18 to 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • We also help people who need support with their own or someone else’s drug and/or alcohol use
