North Yorkshire Horizons Highlight Report 2023/24

Each year we take the time to reflect on the impact our service has had on the community in North Yorkshire. We provide a free service for people in North Yorkshire who need help with any drug or alcohol-use-related matter.

We are proud to share North Yorkshire Horizon’s Highlight Report for 2023/24 with you!

The Highlight Report shares a selection of the many accomplishments from our services over the last year including:

  • 2,545 people engaged in structured treatment
  • 27,517 appointments were attended
  • 15,574 one-to-one interventions were held
  • 10,117 voice call interventions
  • 430 video call interventions

978 People who accessed our support achieved their recovery goal.

We are pleased to share that we have been awarded the Venetia Ann Wrigley Heart of North Yorkshire Award for Extraordinary Dedication & Commitment and were rated OUTSTANDING internally and externally by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Harm reduction remains a key focus across our services, with our Harm Reduction Strategic Lead, Craig Bosomworth developing our Harm Reduction bulletin that is circulated to all of our staff monthly. Naloxone training has expanded across key providers including TEWV, Probation and North Yorkshire Police.
