Recognising International Overdose Awareness Day in Harrogate
Come and join us to recognise IOAD on Wednesday 31st August in Harrogate.
From 1pm to 4pm, we will be outside the Baptist Church (near the Odeon roundabout) where we will be illustrating basic first aid training, helped by members of Trinity Medical Services and Askham Bryan College.
Between 10am and 4pm, staff and volunteers from North Yorkshire Horizons will be present in Harrogate Town Centre, talking to people and helping to raise awareness of overdose symptoms and what signs to look out for. Also between 10am and 4pm, we will be delivering Naloxone training and handing out Naloxone kits at Springboard.
Finaly, at our Harrogate Hub, we will be holding a number of events during the day, including games and quizzes, to raise awareness of overdose issues and how people can help save lives. We’ll be providing refreshments for people so please visit and find out how you could help save a life!
