New partnership for North Yorkshire Horizons
A partnership led by Humankind and including Spectrum CIC and Changing Lives has been successful in renewing its contract to provide the North Yorkshire Horizons drug and alcohol recovery service.
The new five year contract, awarded by North Yorkshire County Council, begins on 1st October, 2019, will run until October 2024 and may be extended for a further five years after that.
The Horizons service, which last month was awarded “outstanding” status by the Care Quality Commission, sees some 2,900 clients each year in town centre hubs in Northallerton, Harrogate, Skipton, Scarborough and Selby. Its workers also conduct outreach sessions in rural areas including Malton, Whitby, Tadcaster, Sherburn, Thirsk, Great Ayton and Catterick.
